We are very fortunate to have a brilliant team of teachers at Ficino. As lifelong learners they are committed to developing their skills and talents both in and outside of school.

We would like to congratulate the following talented staff:

• Miss June Xu for completing her BSC in Maths and Computer Science last semester.
• Mr Hamish Hudson for recently completed his Certificate of Advanced Performance with distinction from Trinity College.
• At the start of Term 3, Miss Hannah Ngare returned from an international tournament in her capacity as coach for the Atlantis City water polo team. They came first in the tournament: a fantastic achievement.
• Our Olympian Mrs Helen Clarke is currently coaching New Zealand’s under 16 hockey team in preparation for their international tournament in November.
• Miss Julia Hong is enrolled at Auckland University where she is completing a Post Graduate Diploma in teaching Linguistically Diverse Learners.
• Our music and piano teacher, Mrs Kearney is halfway through her Doctor of Philosophy.
• Finally, Ms Sanaya Doctor is enrolled on a Teachers’ Choir, Conducting & Vocal Pedagogy course through New Zealand Children’s Choral Academy.
