It was familiar grounds for Ava Maher and Krish Bhandary as they lined up to represent Ficino School at the Central Zone Athletics Day at Mt Smart Stadium. As the winners of the Senior Girl and Senior Boy at Ficino’s recent Athletics Day they laced up against students from Remuera and Balmoral Intermediates, St Cuthberts, St Kentigern and Diocesan.

An attending parent described how they ‘held their own against some stiff competition”. Ava from Year 7 placed 5^th in the 400m while both competed in the long jump. Congratulations to our students who continue to show the calibre of the sporting training they receive at Ficino School!
