Support the Daylight Project
The Daylight Project will strengthen Ficino School's purpose by creating learning spaces that support calm attention and excellent teaching.
At Ficino, education is not simply the transfer of information. It is the careful nurturing of attention, character and understanding. The Daylight Project will build on the legacy of our founding members by ensuring that the school’s physical spaces align with its educational purpose.

What will the Daylight Project deliver?
1| Brighter Classrooms
Classrooms 2,3,4,5 and 6 will be repainted and given new flooring, creating fresher, warmer and more uplifting learning spaces.
2| Greater Focus
New focus rooms will provide dedicated spaces for one-to-one teaching, small group support and quiet learning.
3| More Daylight
Bifold glass doors will be added to Classrooms 2,4,5 and 6, improving natural light to make these learning spaces feel more open and connected to the outdoors.
4| A Garden for Learning and Stillness
The transformed garden area will provide a calm space for group teaching, quiet reflection, reading and discussion, while allowing students to connect to nature.

This is an opportunity to invest in the heart of a Ficino education. By supporting this initiative, you will help to create the conditions in which young people can develop the habits of focused attention and reflection that underpin a life of learning and wisdom.
Ficino families are already making a significant contribution to the Daylight Project through the school’s capital development fund. Philanthropic support is now needed to enable the project to go ahead.

TRANSFORM A CLASSROOM (4 available) – $20,000
Upgrades to a single classroom, including glazing, installation of bifold doors, decoration and carpet.
CREATE A PLACE OF FOCUS (3 available) – $15,000
Support for a focus room, including glazing, cabinery, decoration and carpet.
CULTIVATE A LEARNING GARDEN (4 available) – $5,000
Contribution of one of four main raised planters for the student garden.
TAKE A SEAT IN THE GARDEN – $2,000
A contribution towards the decked seating and learning area.
BE A DAYLIGHT SUPPORTER – $300 (or more)
A community gift towards the Daylight Project.
