Cross Country

Last Friday we held our annual Cross Country race at the base of Mt. Eden. For the swift-footed students, the event is eagerly awaited. Their training efforts and early morning runs with Miss Brickland come to fruition as they cross the finish line ahead of the pack. It is fantastic to witness the children pushing their own physical limits so hard that they fall to the ground, struggling to catch their breath, having willingly given their all.

We recognise that long distance running is challenging for most, however, the camaraderie and encouragement of their friends and family helps to get every child across the line. Along the way they learn essential life lessons; they can persevere even when it is hard and uncomfortable, and they will succeed if they choose to keep working towards their goals.

Thank you to Mrs Setters, Mrs Clarke and our parent volunteers for creating a memorable afternoon.

Grandparent’s Day

Grandparent’s Day is a joy for the school to host. Seeing the pride and connection between the two generations is very special. We will hear more from our Roving Reporter, but please extend our gratitude to your parents for their generous library donations totalling $1755.
