Kadee Setters – an alumnus to watch!

Keep an eye out for Kadee Setters—you might see her representing New Zealand on the international stage in the years ahead!  Word has it that her face might also appear in an upcoming Tic Tok campaign alongside some White Ferns.

Kadee’s journey at Ficino School began in Year 5 in 2019, where her athletic abilities quickly stood out in cricket, hockey, cross country running and athletics competitions. With a sporty family background, it’s no wonder her passion for cricket took root early. She joined the Cornwall Cricket Club at just five years old, alongside her older brother.

Now in Year 10 at Mount Albert Grammar School (MAGS), Kadee continues to shine in both school and regional competitions. This year, she earned the prestigious Victrix Ludorum cup for the Overall Female Athlete for Y10 at MAGS’ – a testament to her abilities.

At just 15 years old, Kadee is making waves in cricket. This season she has played for the Cornwall Premier Women’s Cricket team and the Premier Reserves Team, a remarkable achievement for someone so young. She has also represented Auckland in Indoor Cricket, playing for the Under-17 and Under-19 teams. And her talents don’t end with cricket – Kadee is also a key member of her school’s First XI Hockey team.

With her talent and drive, Kadee is undoubtedly a rising star to watch!
