Application Procedure

All applicants go into our Application Pool.

If successful: New entrants/Year 1 – you will be invited to meet with the Principal while your child has opportunity to meet with the Class 1 teacher in the classroom. The teacher will carry out some brief assessments for these younger children which are mostly oral in nature, and need no preparation.

Older students – from Year 2 upwards children would normally stay for a longer period depending on their age; usually a half day or whole day. This serves two purposes. The child gets an opportunity to experience the school first hand; they are always buddied up with another student who looks after them for the day. At the same time the teacher can carry out some simple assessments to ascertain the student’s ability level.

We will let you know as soon as possible, in writing, whether your application has been successful. At that point, a non-refundable acceptance fee is payable if you wish to secure a place at Ficino School
