Leadership skills help children to become confident, responsible, and effective team players. Leaders also show kindness, respect and good listening skills. They make sure everyone feels included. Leadership isn’t about being the boss—it’s about helping others and making a difference.
The purpose of leadership training at Ficino School is to build resilience and confidence through service and challenges. It also provides our students with the skills required for future leadership positions beyond the Ficino gates.
This week, the challenges our Year 7 & 8 children undertook at Youthtown as part of our new student leadership programme required them to demonstrate a variety of these skills as they worked together to carry out a series of challenges.
