It has been lovely welcoming students back to school this week though we did have a number participating in the holiday programme in the last week. They took part in a number of exciting activities from a petting zoo, to climbing at the ‘Clip and Climb’ and painting dragons and masks.

The petting zoo had a number of unique creatures – blue tongued skinks, bearded dragons and leopard skinks as well as turtles, chinchillas and guinea pigs. The velvet rabbit was the softest thing the children (and teachers) had ever touched while they were amazed by the size of the biggest turtle ever – eight of them fitted on a cloth cut to its dimensions.

Not only did the children get to have fun with their friends, they also took part in activities that let them show their courage and resilience as they tried new things. Parents were amazed to hear of their escapades while the facilitators were pleasantly surprised at the patience and respect shown by our students.
