The International Day of Friendship beautifully aligns with the Sanskrit phrase of “Vasudhaiva Kuṭumbakam” – the world is one family. Both celebrate the spirit of human connection and the richness found in unity through diversity.
Year 2 students at Ficino School have embraced this Friendship Day by expressing what it means to them. Through acrostic poems and colourful cardboard links, they’ve shared their ideas and connected with their classmates in a meaningful way.
It’s truly uplifting to witness such an important concept brought to life by some of the youngest members of our community.
Friends care for each other
Respect and help each other too
I love them and share with them
Encouraging each other and being helpful
Nicely playing with each other
Demonstrating kindness
Sharing with each other.
