Young and old delight in song together

Last week Ficino School Junior students once again entertained the residents of the Eden Village Retirement Village with a concert.

The students visit Eden Village twice every term, alternating between the Juniors (Years 1-4) and Seniors (Years 5-8) performing a variety of songs from Broadway, classical pieces and seasonal hymns; poetry, including Sanskrit pieces the students learn from their studies at school; and musical items on the violin, cello, flute or piano.

The arrangement with Eden Village first began nearly a year ago as part of the School’s commitment to community service.
