In History, Myth and Culture, Class 1 have been learning about what is special about New Zealand. Whaea Karen (Levi’s aunty) came to visit our class and share some Maori culture with us. She taught us a waiata called Haere Mai. We made pois so we could use them with the waiata. We have also been learning how to weave, and are making headbands to wear when we sing the waiata Haere Mai.
