Ficino School Letter Week 7, Term 1, 2017

The build up to the Ficino Fiesta has become more and more evident as this week has progressed.  There have been articles of clothing, books and other items being dropped off; advertising flyers have been sent around; a wood-fired pizza oven and a huge paella pan have arrived. So many parents and families have been helping out in the preparation for this event, and what has been most amazing is the way the preparations are being done.  We talk a lot about mindfulness in the School, and the term has a very broad meaning these days.  The calm, smiling faces of the parent body, the obvious respect for allowing the children’s education to continue unhindered, and the focused and purposeful activity can only be described as Mindfulness in Action.  As a School, we are so grateful for the enthusiasm, care, and the huge time commitment and the organisational skill that goes into this major fundraising event by a great number of parents.  Thank you all.

We look forward to building on the success of last year and hope to see you all there.
