Ficino School Letter Week 10, Term 1, 2016

The first Ficino Fiesta last Saturday was an excellent event. The school opened its gates to welcome in friends, family and the local community. The atmosphere was vibrant with visitors and hosts alike enjoying the occasion. The idea of a Fiesta revolving around food stalls from the many different cultures present in the school was the mastermind of the Friends Coordinators who galvanised the school community and met over many weekends to finesse the final result we experienced on Saturday. Many visitors commented on the warmth, creativity and superb organisation.

The Ficino School Board Chairman expressed his gratitude in the following way.
‘Once again the Friends have turned on a wonderful event. The idea of changing the fair to a food fiesta was creative and the big thinking organisational effort really paid off. Whatever the financial outcome the pulse of good vibrations generated into the community from the event was obvious and very valuable. Katrina, myself and our guests all had a great time, and plenty to eat.

Please convey the gratitude of the Board to the Friends and ask them to pass on our thanks to the many helpers and sponsors who contributed to the success of the event’.
